Sometimes we find ourselves struggling with an issue that just won’t resolve. No matter what we do or how hard we try, we simply become stuck in feelings of depression or anxiety from distressing experiences or traumatic memories.
In those situations, it can be helpful to approach the situation using a technique of Neural Linguistic Programming. Eye Movement Integration (EMI) allows us to access those memories without reliving the trauma and integrate them into a healthy perspective on current life circumstance and our past experience.
How does EMI do this? Eye movement, as we remember our past, offers us an idea of how we have stored our memory. It clues us in to what sensory content is attached to a moment of our life. In the same way as Eye Movement Desesitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), EMI uses deliberate eye movements to change the way we feel about distressing situations in our past.
EMI can be an effective tool to overcoming depression and anxiety brought on by a traumatic past.
If this sounds like your struggle, I would be happy to help you find relief
